Vintage HANDMADE whimsy from artist Sandra Magsamen, the author of “Living Artfully”. Both of these hand-thrown and hand-painted pieces are from early in Sandra’s career before her work was mass produced and recognizable. Each piece reads, “Women are like tea bags, they don’t know how strong they are until they get into hot water”…a famous quote by the late Eleanor Roosevelt.
Both pieces bear the whimsical image of a woman and a hand holding a tea bag. The 16-ounce mug and the 7” square plate are both signed by the artist, and were purchased together at a juried art show many years ago. All letters are hand-carved, as are the edges of each image!
