Aesthetic and beautifully colored rare specimen of rhodochrosite with pyrite and fluorite on quartz from the Wutong Mine in Wuzhou, China. The high quality, fully natural, fine mineral display piece features lustrous, bubblegum pink to peach-pink rhombohedral rhodochrosite crystals. When back or side lit, the rhodochrosite has a gorgeous pink red glow. The sculptural, large chunk of raw rhodo is accented with metallic golden pyrite crystals on all sides. The crystalized, terminated gemstones are on a quartz mineral matrix that has inclusions of pale purple fluorite crystals that are UV fluorescent and glow bright blue. The carved matrix is also encrusted with gold pyrite crystals that add even more sparkle. A perfect self standing, cabinet sized Chinese display specimen that shows well in multiple directions.
